Leave a legacy... it's the Natural thing to do!
When it comes to the opportunities afforded future generations, there are few guarantees. The Hartley Nature Center Endowment Fund is an attempt at one such guarantee; it strives to fund the nature center’s programs in perpetuity. Just like other endowments, ours retains and invests monetary gifts and earnings from gifts of estate without spending the actual principal. Gifts of property, appreciated stock and other securities have the potential to contribute significantly to the continued support of Hartley Nature Center operations and programming.

The interest earned on the Fund is reinvested in the Nature Center to help achieve our mission: "to provide people opportunities for understanding, appreciation and stewardship of the natural environment"
Recognition
The key to recognition is finding the form that best reflects the interests of the individual being honored. Recognition at Hartley Nature Center typically involves “naming” any of the following:
- Education-related Programs
- Intern Programs and Positions
- Speaker Series
- Physical Features
- Classrooms and Interior Spaces
- Endowed Chairs
- Outdoor Pavers
- Gardens
