Text Box: August 2007  Summer is drawing to a close and it is time to gear up for another great year of learning with the Hartley Homeschool Program. The three-year cycle of class topics for Preschool Porcupines, Rambling Raccoons, Bushwhackers, and Nature Scientists begins anew this year, with creative teachers and great activities insuring that repetition is kept to a minimum. Click here for 2007-2008 class titles. The cost for this year is $65/HNC members and $75/nonmembers. Classes are offered the third Thursday of the month.  This year, we will offer two separate sessions of the same classes: morning session (9:00 – 11:00 a.m.) or afternoon session (1:00 – 3:00 p.m.) for the Preschool Porcupines, Ramblin’ Raccoons, and Bushwhackers. Nature Scientists will continue to be held only in the afternoons (1:00 – 3:00 p.m.). Space in each session is limited:  Preschool Porcupines (12), Ramblin’ Raccoons (12), Bushwhackers (14) and Nature Scientists (14). Registrations will be accepted beginning August 15, 2007 by mail only. Enrollment will only be secured with payment (Master Card, Visa and personal checks accepted). Space is filled as registration and payment are received. If more registrations are received on August 15 than spaces allow, random drawing by time slot will determine participating families. You will be contacted as soon as possible if you are unable to register for the sessions of your choice.   If you no longer wish to be on the Homeschool mailing list, please contact Gail at 724.6735 to have your name removed.   We look forward to working with your family for another year of adventure, exploration and learning in Hartley Park! You will receive a confirmation letter following receipt of your payment as well as a letter from your instructor. Call the Nature Center at 724-6735 with any questions or concerns you may have.
